Welcome to my website. Over the past 20 years, I have accumulated valuable experience from teaching hundreds of students ranging from beginners to professional conservatory pianists. Both my parents were accomplished music professors. I have benefited from witnessing them teaching on a daily basis at an early age. This has provided me with insight into the study of technique and interpretation on the piano and how to present them to students in a clear and understandable way. My lessons are individualized and tailored to the students needs and desires. By doing this, students progress at a maximum speed according to their abilities and practice habits.
I have been working with many accomplished piano educators and learned much from them. Prof. Li Qifang, Prof. Leonadas Lipovetsky, and Prof. Richard Shirk are the extraordinary few. Send your child to me and I am confident that he or she will develop rapidly and in full scale in piano skills and the art of piano performance.
Angela Zhang (15) has won First Prize (15 and + group) in the Mid Atlanta Music Teacher's Guild 2015 Festival in March 2015. She has beat all contestants from 7 states and placed first in the competition. Congratulations!!
Jason Huang (11) has won First Place in the Crescendo International Competitions in November 2014. He will be playing at the Winners Recital in Carnegie Hall on February 7, 2015. Congratulations to Jason. We are proud of you!!
Also in November 2014, Angela Zhang (14) has taken the ABRSM test given by the Royal Academy of London and has passed Level 7 with Distinction (The highest score category). Congratulations to Angela!
